I bought this because the music box in a children tricycle, was randomly rebooting when the registered MP3 music on the added USB storage key is registered with a high sound level.
I never noticed that until I used this USB key storage. Of course this key consume a certain amount of power coming from the 5V regulator embeded on the music box electronic board.
And when this voltage regulator reach its limit current , the protection shut off the out put power, and the micro-controller on board is rebooted .
So I used this power amplifier, to limit the output current on speaker output on the music box.
Of course because the gain of the amplifier is very high, you ave to attenuate the signal coming from the standard speaker output in the musicbox. A ratio 1/4 is the minimum. 1/8; or 1/16 should be best, otherwise, it’s impossible to adjust the gain easily on the amplifier, with the potentiometer
